STOP RECORDING
AT ANY TIME
Even though UTexSave operates entirely locally and only the user has access to the save file, you can pause recording whenever you want using the STOP RECORDING feature.
You will keep a more faithful backup of your original text.
HOW DOES UTEX SAVE WORK ?
Non-destructive operation of UTEXSAVE
UTEXSAVE records text chronologically at a low level, capturing each action without analyzing the document’s overall structure.
This means that :

each change is saved in the order it is performed,

the software does not reorganize text like a standard editor,
-
it does not automatically reposition corrections within the content.
Impact on history log
When a modification is made, UTEXSAVE does not overwrite existing text.
These changes are appended to the recorded stream on a new line, in order to preserve a complete trace of actions.
As a result, the history may appear visually unstructured, with repetitions or scattered segments.
" Text Rebuild "
To improve readability, UTEXSAVE offers a “text reconstruction” feature.
This option allows you to copy the raw history and process it using artificial intelligence (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude…).
A dedicated prompt is provided to :

reorganize elements,

rebuild a smooth, coherent, and structured version.
Thanks to this reconstruction feature, the text is reorganized into a clear and natural flow from all recorded fragments, restoring coherence and readability.

For security and compliance reasons, the recording of bank card numbers is blocked by the software.
An automatic detection system for sequences of digits prevents them from being written into any UTexSave save file.
As a precautionary measure, this data therefore cannot be recorded, even if the environment is entirely local and under the exclusive control of the user.
